A Twig on Words - They Can Be Strange

A couple of years ago, I made a brief note into a file regarding something I heard from a video on health and, just this morning, I stumbled across it as I was browsing through directories on my computer.  I do not recall the video but the following was what I wrote:

DIA-GNOSIS

DIA : "through"

GNOSIS : "knowledge"

Diagnosis : "through knowledge"

If you go to a podiatrist, you are going to be diagnosed with problems in your feet.

If you go to a chiropractor, you will be diagnosed with joint problems.

If you go to a nutritionist, you will receive a diagnosis of some nutritional deficiency.

If you go to a GP, you will probably be diagnosed with something requiring some pills or an injection.

If you go to a surgeon, you will be diagnosed with a need to have something removed.

Et cetera.

Each and every professional sees the world through a lens of their own knowledge and it's never a complete picture of the world as it really is.  You may receive a "dia-gnosis" requiring their particular specialised expertise no matter who you go to, although sometimes they will acknowledge their inability to perceive what is going on and defer to a specialist in a different area (the readiness with which they do so being in some sense a measure of their own professional humility).  Their world view is limited and oftentimes contains false structures, either on what they believe they know or simply to fill in the gaps in their knowledge, which can then lead to false conclusions.  This is true of us all.  None of us has perfect knowledge even of the fields in which we have practiced, let alone anything else.  We are not omniscient.  We are barely even (to coin a word) "monoscient", able to perceive clearly in a single area or direction.

However, the word, diagnosis, can also be cast as "DI-AGNOSIS":

DI : "two"

AGNOSIS : "without knowledge"

Di-agnosis : two (people) without knowledge (both the patient and the practitioner).

It's as if the word contains its own warning; tread carefully when trusting man, always remember that humans invariably inevitably fail.

I thought it a good reminder to always defer to the Lord first and foremost, not to dangerously fallible man.  Sure, see the doctor, see the nutritionist, see the surgeon or the dermatologist or the [whatever]ologist, but always, in any field and not just medicine, seek the Lord first.  He will then establish your steps.

The Core of Sharia Law

Although I have not posted anything for almost ten months, illness has not consumed me and, I believe, it is God's will that I continue until my purpose on this planet is achieved (although, what that actually will be is a mystery to me).

This is a small twig rather than a normal post, and I just wanted to reiterate my belief that the Lord placed Trump back into office for the purpose of reducing the potential number of combatants in the coming great war to end all wars (and it is a belief, not an easily proven fact, a belief which I am prepared to discard should I later think that it was wrong, so, as always, don't take my word for it).

I am not declaring that Trump is any kind of saint, far from it, nor is the USA some kind of righteous nation above others.  Clearly that is not the case.  The reason for this twig is the bizarre level of anti-Trump rhetoric that is going around.  Don't get me wrong, I am no Trump-phile and I see him as I see any other political leader, flawed, subject to corrupting influences, sometimes stumbling over his own pride... and that is true of all human beings alive today.  However, I do not see the strikes on Iran as many others do, as some kind of evil act with intent to oppress the Iranian people and run roughshod over their rights... because, under their current regime, they have no rights.

The overthrow of that regime is more than justified, as far as I am concerned.  All people must freely choose what they believe but not impose that choice on others.  If their beliefs lead to harming or oppressing others unlawfully (and it is clear that Sharia is unjust and works only on the behalf of the ruling oppressors), whether that unjust harm is directly intentional or indirectly incidental, then such beliefs which led to it are in some manner, whether in part or in whole, evil and not of God.  To impute such "law" and behaviour to God is to assassinate His perfect character, to blaspheme His Name, His Spirit.

My hope and prayer for the Persian people is that they are freed from their monstrous oppressors and freed of that vile, satanic beast that came up out of the abyss in the form of the self-confuting doctrine widely known as Islam, the fruit of a psychotic, murderous, power-mad, envy-driven, lust-controlled, angry, unregenerate, pedophile lunatic.  Of course, that man was not the actual source of Sharia law but what he birthed into the world was the satanic doctrine upon which the system of total subjugation was built.

Based on the behaviour of so many leftists (and some from other groups, also), one can almost gauge the saturation level of demonic influence in the world, a level of saturation so close to complete that I cannot see how this world can continue, as it is and is becoming, beyond several more years, let alone the decades some appear to believe that remain.
