Update on the post, "Who or What are the Two Witnesses?"

Back in 2016, October the 1st to be precise, I published a post, entitled, "Who or What are the Two Witnesses?"  In that post I commented on the reason I believed, at that time, was the impetus for Yeshua saying, to the people around Him, the following:

Matthew 11:12-15 ASV  And from the days of John the Baptist until now the kingdom of heaven suffereth violence, and men of violence take it by force. (13) For all the prophets and the law prophesied until John. (14) And if ye are willing to receive it, this is Elijah, that is to come. (15) He that hath ears to hear, let him hear.

My comments were as follows:

"Some will argue that Yeshua made his statements with a conditional requirement, that being that it is so if you can accept it, and thus there must necessarily be a future occurrence of the actual original Elijah returning in order to ensure that the prophecy is fulfilled.  However, I strongly disagree with that reasoning because God does not do things in indefinite ways and because, I believe, it is not the purpose of the Lord's comment.  Why would the God of all glory and all creation seem uncertain about His own plans?  Are not the words of Christ directly from the Spirit of the Living God?  The Lord made that comment for a different reason, being that believing John the Baptiser was the Elijah to come was not essential to their faith and walk with God.  They could happily continue in their faith in God without having known or believed that John was the Elijah to come and there would come no harm to them, they would not be impoverished as a result."

"The reason for this is, I believe, that the appearing of Elijah was not for the sake of the believers but for the sake of the unbelievers, to bring testimony to them of the coming of the Messiah.  When Yeshua made that comment, He had just been speaking to John's disciples who were sent by John to ask Yeshua if He was the one they were waiting for.   As they departed, He turned to the multitudes and continued speaking, clearly also intending that John's disciples would hear this before they left. John's disciples already expected Him based on John's teachings about the coming Messiah and, in all likelihood, so did the multitudes that were listening, or they would not have been present."

Now, as a reason for Christ saying, "And if ye are willing to receive it, this is Elijah, that is to come", what I wrote is not a sufficient and complete answer, and it occurred to me why that was.  As I wrote at that time, "the reason for this is, I believe"... that the appearing of Elijah was not for the sake of the believers but for the sake of the unbelievers.  However, it was only what I could conclude at that time but, with time and with the continued work of the Spirit of God, things keep coming together like a grand jigsaw puzzle.  Although believers did not really have a need to believe that John the Baptist was the Elijah to come, if he was then Yeshua would have wanted to make that plain to them and not leave it in doubt.  Also, there was insufficient support for the comment I made about John's disciples overhearing what Yeshua said as they were leaving.  It never sat quite right with me.  Just one of those things, I guess, that kept niggling away in the depths of my mind... until this morning.

Now I have a clear, concise and definitive reason on why Yeshua made that conditional statement, and it ties in with the post, entitled, "Invalidity of All Current 'Two Witnesses'", published on the 6th of March, earlier this year.

Until John died, then the prophecies concerning the role of the Elijah that was to come were either not completely fulfilled or there was still time to invalidate the fulfillment by an action contrary to the prophecy.  Without complete and inalterable fulfillment, who could declare that John was the Elijah that was to come in a legally irrefutable manner?  If he had not yet completed his role, nobody could definitely say that he was the expected Elijah, whether in the spirit or in the flesh, because to do so would be to say that he had fulfilled all the prophecies concerning his appearance (binding John's acts to the prophecy) but, until he was dead, it could not be stated as fact.  Alternatively, if he had completed fulfillment of the prophecy but then acted in a way to discredit that fulfillment before his death, we would end up with legally refutable claims that he was the Elijah to come.  At the time that Yeshua made his conditional statement about accepting John the Baptist as the Elijah that was to come, John was in prison but was still alive, for his disciples had, at that moment, come to ask Yeshua, on John's behalf, if He was the expected one (the Messiah).

Mat 11:3 ASV  and said unto him, Art thou he that cometh, or look we for another?

So, Yeshua avoided making a false claim by keeping it open until John's death, after which Yeshua said plainly to His own disciples that John was, indeed, the expected Elijah.  This was now legally factual to the world.  The reason Yeshua had made the comment prior to John's death, saying that John was the coming Elijah, was because Yeshua already knew that it was true, as mentioned in the post, "Invalidity of All Current 'Two Witnesses'".  However, the incompleteness of the fulfillment of prophecy ensured that He could not make a legally incontrovertible statement for, although spiritually it was fact, physically it was not yet complete and, thus, not legally factual.  Once John was dead, the prophecies concerning him became legally established and incontrovertible fact.  Like Yeshua said on the cross just the moment before His own death, "It is finished." 

Since John did not do anything just prior to his own death that would have been contrary to the character of Elijah and which could have invalidated the prophecy with regards to himself, the prophecy of the return of Elijah appears to have been fulfilled, taking Yeshua's word for it.  However, we do not know enough about John's activities to comment on his fulfillment of the prophecy found in the book of Malachi, chapter 4, regarding turning the heart of the fathers to the children and the heart of the children to their fathers.  Was that fulfilled by John or is it only necessary that a final Elijah-like prophet at the end fills that role once in order that the prophecy given by Malachi be true?  There is much written on this but what does it actually mean?  I find that most explanations are too vague, fuzzy or wishy-washy to be of any value.  My understanding of scripture is that it is clear, concise, logical and solidly factual.

Luk 1:13-17 ASV  But the angel said unto him, Fear not, Zacharias: because thy supplication is heard, and thy wife Elisabeth shall bear thee a son, and thou shalt call his name John.  (14)  And thou shalt have joy and gladness; and many shall rejoice at his birth.  (15)  For he shall be great in the sight of the Lord, and he shall drink no wine nor strong drink; and he shall be filled with the Holy Spirit, even from his mother's womb.  (16)  And many of the children of Israel shall he turn unto the Lord their God.  (17)  And he shall go before his face in the spirit and power of Elijah, to turn the hearts of the fathers to the children, and the disobedient to walk in the wisdom of the just; to make ready for the Lord a people prepared for him.

In this scripture, found in the book of Luke, we see confirmation that John did come in the power and spirit of Elijah, thus strongly supporting our method of understanding so that we know that it is consistent with the scripture, but we also see a comment related to Malachi's prophecy regarding turning the hearts of the fathers to the children.  However, instead of speaking about turning the hearts of the children to the fathers, it speaks of turning the disobedient to walk in the wisdom of the just, seemingly equating the hearts of the children with the disobedient and the fathers with the just.  Although it could be a currently fulfilled prophecy, it does also sound rather like the expected situation going into the millennial reign of Christ on earth, which can only begin upon the exit of the two witnesses of Revelation 11 and the return of Christ.  The chasm between parents and children in the current age is the worst that the world has ever seen, so the prophecy of Malachi does seem to apply more strongly to the current day or the near future than it does to any time before now.  This view assumes that it is talking about parents and their immediate children.  The support for this view is that it speaks of turning the hearts of the fathers to the children, meaning that the fathers spoken of must be alive in the same era as the children, so it could not be referring to something like ancient, wise patriarchs and modern, rebellious people.

Since John the Baptist was a spiritual fulfillment of Elijah, his coming (and going) does not prevent another "Elijah" from coming, to pave the way for the Lord, as stated by Malachi.  The great and terrible day of the Lord has not come, not quite yet, and although the prophecy of Malachi may appear to have been fulfilled ("Elijah" came before the great and terrible day regardless of how long ago he came), turning the hearts of the fathers and the children back to one another is something possibly incomplete, as would also appear to be "the restoration of all things", a major part of the coming Elijah's role as stated by Yeshua.  The "things" would likely be the correct understanding of scripture, righteousness and justice, the nature of evil, right, wrong and free will, the process of salvation and its essential requirement, the proper interpretation of parables, the truth about God and Christ, etc., a restoration which, it would appear, the two witnesses will accomplish, thus completing the great commission of bringing the gospel to the whole world as a testimony in order that the end can come.  That the coming Elijah restores all things lends credence to the idea that, if he is yet to come again, he may be one of the two witnesses of Revelation 11.  The two witnesses will be bringing the gospel of Christ to the world as a testimony and in the process will inevitably restore a correct understanding of many things therein.

Mat 17:11-13 ASV  And he answered and said, Elijah indeed cometh, and shall restore all things:  (12)  but I say unto you, that Elijah is come already, and they knew him not, but did unto him whatsoever they would. Even so shall the Son of man also suffer of them.  (13)  Then understood the disciples that he spake unto them of John the Baptist.

Furthermore, this scripture, when viewed in the light of the aforementioned understanding of the legal requirements for the declaration of prophetic fulfillment, makes sense of the fact that Yeshua said that Elijah shall restore all things (the word translated as "shall" directly implies a future tense by what would probably have been the imperfect tense in the Aramaic or Hebrew language prior to its Greek translation) in spite of the fact that John was already, at that moment, dead, which is itself the reason Yeshua made it unequivocally clear that John the Baptist was the Elijah that was to come, for it was now legal fact.  Perhaps we can now state even more confidently that we should still expect one more "spirit of Elijah" prophet.  Whether or not he will be one of the two witnesses of Revelation, chapter 11, remains to be seen, though at this point it seems quite possible, even likely.  The events on the "mount of the transfiguration" would lend further support, though not solid proof, that he will be.  Will the Lord reveal that to us sometime soon?  We (including you) should ask Him about it.  Give it a shot.  God is wonderfully good and generous and the only reason He withholds information from His servants is because the moment for the revelation is not yet come.

So, should we expect the return of the spirit of Elijah?  I suspect so, though I would not state it as a legally binding requirement for the fulfillment of the prophecies of the last days or, at least, not without a deeper revelation on this issue.  We do not know enough at this time about the activities of John the Baptist other than the very little given to us in the scripture and possibly some fragments of historical accounts.  I guess that we will have to pray, wait and see.

Did Moses Really Die?

There are many who profess to understand the mysteries surrounding the two witnesses spoken of in Revelation, chapter 11, and, sadly, a significant number of such people claim that Moses did not actually die.  The claim goes along the lines of... "Moses must be one of the two witnesses and the other is Elijah, since they appeared on the mount of transfiguration with Christ, and they must die because all men must die once before the judgement, and we know that Elijah was taken without seeing death, and since Elijah must be one of the two witnesses because he is expected to return, and since nobody knows where Moses' body was buried and Satan contested this issue with God, then Moses must have also been translated without seeing death."... or something to that effect, including making various out-of-context scriptural references.  Sigh!  I am so tired of this nonsense, so weary of it all.  I really could NOT be bothered going to all the trouble of outlining them since if you are aware of the issue I am speaking of and if you are one who dilligently and unswervingly seeks the truth, then you know of what I speak.

So, the question really is... do we trust the scriptures?  Let me put it this way... do we trust Christ Yeshua at His word?  The Lord, Himself, said... 

Joh 10:35 ASV  If he called them gods, unto whom the word of God came (and the scripture cannot be broken), ...  

Did He specify just one portion of the scripture that cannot be broken?  No, not as far as I can see, not that I have perfect "vision" but, simply that, having read ALL of the scripture, many parts many times over, I have not been able to come to any other conclusion than that the Lord meant NO PART of the scripture can be broken.  Of course, there are the pride-filled, hard-hearted people who have built their reputations on incorrect views and try to twist the scripture to fit those views, using the claim that there are many mistranslations in the well accepted English versions of the scriptures, in spite of the fact that most of their scriptural references are not in question in this regard, but any person who knows God can, easily enough, recognise such false claims for what they are.  They can be safely ignored.  No need for all of that mental clutter.

So, what do the scriptures say about Moses' death? 

Deu 34:5-8 ASV  So Moses the servant of Jehovah died there in the land of Moab, according to the word of Jehovah.  (6)  And he buried him in the valley in the land of Moab over against Beth-peor: but no man knoweth of his sepulchre unto this day.  (7)  And Moses was a hundred and twenty years old when he died: his eye was not dim, nor his natural force abated.  (8)  And the children of Israel wept for Moses in the plains of Moab thirty days: so the days of weeping in the mourning for Moses were ended. 

Jos 1:1-2 ASV  Now it came to pass after the death of Moses the servant of Jehovah, that Jehovah spake unto Joshua the son of Nun, Moses' minister, saying,  (2)  Moses my servant is dead; now therefore arise, go over this Jordan, thou, and all this people, unto the land which I do give to them, even to the children of Israel.

... and that is that.  Either believe the word of God Almighty, Himself, or do not.

Joshua had no reason to make this up and, if he did, then nothing in the book of Joshua can be firmly believed.  Such a view would bring into question the rest of the books of the bible and then the claims of creation, the fall of Adam, the need for salvation, then finally bringing doubt upon the need for a saviour, Christ Himself and, thus, the very fact that He came and existed is questioned and comes to the point of being called a fable... and those who deny that Yeshua is the Christ are antichrist, in accordance with what John the apostle taught us (1 John 22).  That is an example of what progressivism is really all about, what it does, what it is actually intended to do.  That is raw and basic progressivism.  It is entirely based on moral relativism.  No foundation, no base, no reference, just like a boat tossed around at sea without anchor and without sail.  I call it, "Boiling Frog Syndrome."  The whole world is deep in a myriad of deceptions brought on by this very method.  It would have to be one of the devil's favourite ways to destroy mankind.  Once a person deceives himself, he becomes a deceiver and such people continue deeper and deeper into deception, deceiving themselves and each other, the growing pride and fear of being seen as imperfect making them ever less capable of admitting fault.  Strange how such people think that, just by telling us what they want us to believe about them, we are not going to see them for what they really are, warts and all!  Is there any hope for those who have willfully cast themselves into that abyss?  Only the Everliving God really knows.

Those who do not believe God at His own word will be held accountable for their unbelief in the face of the huge mountain of evidence, for the veracity of the scripture and for the reality of Yeshua the Christ and the eternal, self-existent one, the Everliving God.

There is a Calm Before the Storm

We stood on that west-facing beach, the dark cloud on the northern horizon stretching across all the land and all the sea, from the far east to the far west, and the calm was before it, a quiet but eerie calm, barely a whisper of wind, gentle waves breaking on the shore.  I knew in my heart that what is coming must come and, though I longed for that peace to never end, for Him to stay there with me on that peaceful shore, I knew that I had to face the coming storm.

My house is already secured on the immovable rock, protected from the oncoming tempest by sheer, stone cliffs, set like a stone fortress.  The winds could not reach me on one side nor the waves on the other.  I fear for my siblings, for my mother, for my friends.  Why is it so difficult for them to believe their own eyes and see that all that is cannot have just happened by chance?  In death no man can see, no man can hear, all is darkness and only God can enliven that dead spirit.  Though it grieves me, I know that God is always good, and God is always at peace, even when He is at war.  I need not fear.  He said that His burden is light, so I must believe that whatever He has assigned for me to do in these final days must be something which, for the most part, I will want to do.

The only question I have is, how long will last the calm before the storm?

A Warning to False Prophets

Eze 13:4-9 ASV  O Israel, thy prophets have been like foxes in the waste places.  (5)  Ye have not gone up into the gaps, neither built up the wall for the house of Israel, to stand in the battle in the day of Jehovah.  (6)  They have seen falsehood and lying divination, that say, Jehovah saith; but Jehovah hath not sent them: and they have made men to hope that the word would be confirmed.  (7)  Have ye not seen a false vision, and have ye not spoken a lying divination, in that ye say, Jehovah saith; albeit I have not spoken?  (8)  Therefore thus saith the Lord Jehovah: Because ye have spoken falsehood, and seen lies, therefore, behold, I am against you, saith the Lord Jehovah.  (9)  And my hand shall be against the prophets that see false visions, and that divine lies: they shall not be in the council of my people, neither shall they be written in the writing of the house of Israel, neither shall they enter into the land of Israel; and ye shall know that I am the Lord Jehovah.

What will the false prophets do?  All those fake "two witnesses" out there who are proclaiming the "word", their own word, their own vain imaginings, their doctrines of men and demons out of their darkened, vain hearts, seeking their own glory?  What shall they do when the true witnesses appear?  What will they do, what can they do when the Lord returns and His razor sharp eyes cut them to the quick?

When the true witnesses appear, the false prophets will continue plying their trade, accusing the true of falsehood, condemning them, seeking their silence, even their destruction.  How can such pride ever admit to fault?  Simply, it cannot.

The day approaches quickly, the moment of reckoning, the instant when the hearts of the liars will choose to repent or go to eternal destruction... and it will happen in the blink of an eye, for the moment that the voice of the true witnesses, who will NOT proclaim themselves to be Elijah or any other such well known name, goes out into the world, will be sudden, the word unassailable, their stand immovable, and near nary a soul will recognise them!  The world is truly in the grasp of the great delusion... a delusion that can only bring death.  As the witnesses act and bring calamity, gradually greater, gradually more intense, so will become the darkness of the veil over the eyes of all who cannot see... that is, all the dead.  How can such ever come to a knowledge of the truth?  Only the Ever Living God can lift that veil, only the Eternal One can save.

Will you know them when they come?

Invalidity of All Current "Two Witnesses"

Every currently existing claimant to the role of one of the prophets known as the "two witnesses" as described in the biblical book of the Revelation, chapter 11, first came declaring that he or she is one of the two witnesses and in not one single case that I am aware of did entirely independent evidence or testimony arise, whether by word of another independent person or by some other clear means not brought forward by this so-called witness or somebody closely connected with the so-called witness (such as a spouse or another such so-called witness, etc.), that the so-called witness is actually a prophet sent by the Ever Living God.

Therefore, the testimony to being a prophet from God by every single one of these self-proclaimed "Revelation 11 prophets" is INVALID.  PERIOD!

The precedent is set by Christ Yeshua, Himself...

 Joh 5:31 YLT  If I testify concerning myself, my testimony is not true;

I guess that about wraps it up for every "two witnesses" claimant on YouTube and anywhere on the Internet.  They have ALL FAILED THIS SIMPLE TEST.

Why are they so blind?  Because they seek their own glory.

The true "two witnesses" will never come claiming to be the two witnesses or prophets sent by God.  They will not come testifying about themselves.  Their actions will be the evidence (just as Christ's actions, including miraculous signs, were evidence), their words will be their testimony (just as John's words testified of Christ and Christ's words testified of God), and strangers to them or people reliably independent from them will recognise their actions (just as the disciples did to begin with, followed by many others), understand their words and provide the ongoing testimony of who they are, spreading through the world like an outwardly radiating shockwave.  John the baptiser was not a stranger to Yeshua but we know that Yeshua was reliably independent as a witness of who John was because of the testimony of others who were unrelated to John about who Yeshua is.  Yeshua testified to His disciples that John was the Elijah to come, but when John was asked this, he denied it.  Of course he did!  In John's mind, he was just plain old John the baptiser.

Joh 1:21 YLT  And they questioned him, `What then? Elijah art thou?' and he saith, `I am not.' --`The prophet art thou?' and he answered, `No.'

However, as pointed out in a previous post, John the baptiser was the Elijah to come, for in spirit and, consequently, in his actions, he was just like Elijah.  This is despite the fact that he denied it in both forms; first as the literal Elijah ("Elijah art thou?"... "I am not."), and then as, potentially, the spirit of Elijah but under a different name ("The prophet art thou?"... "No.")  How can he be so contrary to what Christ said of him later?  Note that Christ Yeshua did not say that John was definitely the Elijah to come (Yeshua gave people the option of accepting or rejecting it) until after John's death.  Why?  Because only once John fulfilled the role of the Elijah that was to come could anybody definitively say that he was the expected prophet but before completing that ministry it could not be a legally established fact, despite the certainty we can have that Yeshua already knew the outcome.  Since Yeshua knew who He, himself, was, He would have had no doubt about who John the baptiser was.

Likewise, when the two witnesses come, some of us will recognise them because the Holy Spirit within us will testify of who they are and, although we can declare it, we cannot legally state it as fact until after the completion of their ministries and they have been resurrected and gone to be with the Lord, since only upon completion of every detail outlined in scripture will it have become legal, indisputable fact to the world, regardless of the world's rejection of it.  As always, every jot and every tittle must be adhered to until the end.  In spite of the evidence and fulfillment of the scritpure regarding them, many will refuse to recognise who they were.  During their ministry, however, we can only point to the evidence thus far established, such as stopping rain, destroying would-be assassins, causing plagues of various kinds, accurately expounding on the truth of holy scripture and its correct interpretation, testifying of Christ, etc., pointing to each event as it occurs and demonstrating how it all does fit with scripture, but until all things are fulfilled then their being the two witnesses is not technically legal fact.  This may seem like splitting hairs but, rest assured, it is not and the enemy will be a very powerful and contentious adversary in the great courtroom of the final judgement... so, please believe me when I say that you do not want to go up against him yourself.  That would be just nuts!

Incredible claims require solid evidence and I have seen nothing of the kind from any of these so-called "two witnesses" people.  They are all false prophets and every time they write or speak in terms of their claims of prophetic revelation, they increasingly bring judgement upon their own heads and also upon those who follow them, or who are, and remain, under their authority.  How important it is for us to walk in the Spirit of the Lord for, if we do not, we are just fodder for the wolves.

So, once again I declare that you can, quite safely, dismiss all current claims people make that they are the two witnesses of Revelation 11.  The genuine two witnesses will be silent regarding their identities and their testimony will be of Christ Yeshua and all things relating to Christ but not of themselves.... and though I am a witness and do testify of Christ as is the case for every true believer, I am not one of those much spoken of "two witnesses" described in the book of Revelation (and in any case, even if I was, I wouldn't tell you, now, would I?   ;-)

Too Many Obsessing over the Identities of the Two Witnesses!

If the two witnesses were the actual and original Moses and Elijah, would you recognise them?  What about Enoch and Elijah?  Moses and Aaron?  John and James?  Lazarus and Joseph of Arimathea?  How about a couple of random blokes from Gwenu and Dunedoo?

Get the picture... or actually, see how one cannot get the picture when concerned with the who and not the what or the why?

The complete irrelevance of who they are is lost on the majority of people because of a perverse obession with personality.  Who they are is utterly irrelevant.  What they are and why they come is of the utmost relevance, but again, this is not in itself the central theme as so many have made it.  The central theme is, of course, Christ Yeshua, and it is Christ to whom the two witnesses point, just as the two pointers point at the Southern Cross, and as it rotates about the southern celestial pole, the two pointers always follow.  This is the truth of the two witnesses.  No matter where the Lord goes, they will follow.

Who are they?  Who cares!  I would wager that they don't.

If the Holy Spirit is truly within then one will recognise the two witnesses by their character, and not by their names and most definitely not by their faces.  Therefore, the only way to ensure that you know them when they come is to know Christ first.

A Note on Travel in Daniel

I have read in many places and heard many voices proclaim that where Daniel speaks of running to and fro merely refers to the great amount of general travel that goes on amongst human beings upon the Earth.  However, this view ignores details, which is often the reason for wrong headed thinking regarding the scripture.  The details are there for a reason and are not merely "literary spackle."

The actual statement made is as follows:

Dan 12:4 KJVR  But thou, O Daniel, shut up the words, and seal the book, even to the time of the end: many shall run to and fro, and knowledge shall be increased.

Dan 12:4 YLT  And thou, O Daniel, hide the things, and seal the book till the time of the end, many do go to and fro, and knowledge is multiplied.'

Dan 12:4 ASV  But thou, O Daniel, shut up the words, and seal the book, even to the time of the end: many shall run to and fro, and knowledge shall be increased.

This states that many "do go to and fro" or "shall run to and fro".  Although the old saying goes, "The devil is in the detail", actually it is the truth which is in the detail but the devil is in its ignorance.

This is referring specifically to commuting and not merely to any form of travel.  Before the post-industrial era (roughly pre-1930's), commuting, especially to and from a place of work, was relatively uncommon and, going back into the 19th century and prior, it was the extreme exception, whereas now it is the norm.  Note that this change took place as a result of the remarkable fall in the cost of transport and its necessary energy, and all of this was possible with, and paralled, a dramatic and unprecedented increase in scientific knowledge which, itself, has preceded the rise of the understanding of scriptural prophecy, thus bringing to fulfilment in our day the unsealing of the sealed book of Daniel.

Prior to the 1930's, the majority of people were relatively poor and, generally, lived at, or were walking distance from, their place of work, if they had any.  The industrial era revolutionised energy availability and transportation so that as mankind entered the post-industrial era, the use of cheap transportation grew dramatically to fill the needs of burgeoning economies whose growth was predicated on the growth of scientific knowledge and a concurrent pursuit of wealth by a new class, the middle class.  Although there is still great disparity in wealth across the globe, this is not equivalent to a lack of wealth (whatever form that wealth may take) and therefore does not negate the facts heretofore stated.  Commuting became an often necessary burden and was even welcomed by many for it brought with it the capacity to learn more (more access to schooling and universities), see more and experience more, bringing for many the power to negotiate with their prospective employers since they were no longer confined to one small geographical region as was the case for the vast majority of mankind in the preceding millennia.

As the economies of nations such as China, Korea, Vietnam and even middle eastern and some African nations enter that same condition of wealth, impact and global reach as has been enjoyed by western economies for decades, the complete fulfilment of the prophecies of Daniel also approach.  Many now run to and fro like never before.  Commuting is no longer restricted mostly to cities and states but people now commute globally.  Astonishing!  Those who lived a mere 100 years ago would never have imagined what we take forgranted.

It is noteworthy that the change took place around about the time of the re-emergence of Israel as a nation.  Thus, the prophecy of Daniel 12:4 falls in line with the parable of the fig tree.

Mat 24:32 ASV  Now from the fig tree learn her parable: when her branch is now become tender, and putteth forth its leaves, ye know that the summer is nigh;

We are at the time of the end, for as said the Lord...

Mat 24:34 ASV  Verily I say unto you, This generation shall not pass away, till all these things be accomplished.

Which generation?  Some think He was speaking of those standing around Him but this misunderstands speech and sentence structure as used in the era of the apostles.  The reference is to the immediate prior subject, that being a reference to those who would see and experience the things that Yeshua had only just been speaking about, those things that would happen at the time of the end.  He was talking about our generation, ours because we have seen the rebirth of the fig tree.

However, a generation does not pass away in seventy years.  It is true that a "standard" lifetime was declared as three score and ten (ie. seventy) years, but we do not automatically die at exactly seventy years.  Some die younger and some older, even as much as 120 years, but we do know that no given generation has ever lasted less than seventy years, so we can say that upon reaching the mark of seventy years since the rebirth of Israel as a nation, a time of uncertainty is upon us.  This is the time when the Lord will return though none of us knows the day or the hour, but it is the season, that much we can be certain of.  We can also be sure that in this time will come the great tribulation.  It could have occured before this time but since we are now almost at the average duration of a generation since Israel re-emerged, it is certain that the tribulation must come and do so at any moment.  Sadly, it shall catch most unexpectedly.  Truthfully, it has already begun as we see the dramatic rise in Christian persecution worldwide.  We are entering the time of sudden destruction as the Lord withdraws from the world the restraint He has placed upon evil since the day that Noah came to rest upon the mountains of Ararat.  Upon the completion of the "feast of weeks" this year (Shavuot, at the end of May, 2017), the world will have seen the passing of seventy such feasts since the return of Israel, and this may well be the marker for the time of the end.

Get your house in order, that is, get into right standing with God for the darkness is now upon us and the great day is almost come.

Long Shadows

The sun sets on Babylon.  The old head of the eagle is gone and only the right and left wings remain.  The new head will never be able to reunite the old wings.  As the light lowers and the shadows dramatically lengthen, darkness has come upon the land of the free and home of the brave.  A fathomless schism has appeared, a great quake has ruptured the nation and split it into two.  Never again the twain shall meet.  Truth beckons to one, delusion to the other.  Life to the one, death to the other.  Can you serve both God and mammon?

At the midnight hour, the wicked one shall finally show his true form.  A devil hidden in a man.  The beast he commands rises to greet him and all applaud as he calls forth the beast to devour his enemies, the sons of truth.  Three beasts spring forth and guttle all the sheep, tearing all to pieces in a savage attack and a violent rampage.  The whore wipes her wine-sodden lips and declares, "I sit as queen and nobody can oppose me."  She knows not that the very serpent she rides must consume her flesh.  It is the nature of evil, it is self-annihilation, for evil is the birth of death and the offspring of a lie, and a lie is that which is not.  It must be that it turns to nothing, for it never was.

Truth is eternal, true life cannot end.  Let the dead bury their own dead.

A Comet, a Penumbral Lunar Eclipse and the Crown of Glory

Interesting events in the next few days, are they not?

Firstly, let's make something perfectly clear.  A so-called "snow moon" is NOT any kind of special celestial event.  It is just the name given to a full moon in North America during February, because snow is expected.  It has NO biblical significance, being merely a name given based on the traditions of men.  Calling this a heavenly sign in the sky (that is, relating it to biblical prophecy) is ridiculous.  It is just a full moon.  That is all.

Right then, now for some actual, potentially meaningful, celestial events.

The obvious one is the passing of comet 45P, a relatively small comet, making its closest approach to the Earth around Saturday, February 11th, a sabbath no less.  The presence of this comet, in and of itself, is not all that interesting.  What IS interesting, however, is that it passes within 24 hours of a penumbral lunar eclipse and, on top of that, it directly crosses the middle of the constellation, Corona Borealis, on the 12th.

Now, we know that God placed the stars in the heavens with purpose, more than that which is obvious, and many of us are familiar with the Mazzaroth, that is, the constellations known as the zodiac but in their original form and meaning.  So, this is not about astrology, but it is about the story of our salvation written in the stars from time immemorial.  Clearly, the Southern Cross (Crux) is the constellation representing the crucifixion of our Lord and Saviour.  The two pointers are the two witnesses.  The constellation of Leo is about the lion of the tribe of Judah, and so forth.  We know these things because the interpretation of many of the constellations as various kinds of objects or animals or events is common to many disparate cultures across the globe, ancient cultures with no clear record of encountering each other.  The only way that they could have any substantial commonality in their perception of each constellation, given that the constellations look nothing or very little like the objects they are said to represent, is that the meanings and names of these constellations come from an ancient, common source.  Not only are there constellations with the same meanings in diverse cultures, but many of the stars in those constellations have names that carry the same or a very similar meaning across those diverse cultures, especially where the meaning relates to the constellation as a whole and, more so, as it relates to the story of salvation.

Though I came across this many years ago, finding it in the writings of two particular people dating back well over a century, I have been reluctant to talk about it because of the narrow-mindedness of many "believers" who believe in a very limited "god" who could not or would not do such a thing as put the story of salvation in the stars.  Clearly, I do not know their god.  The God that I serve is eternal and infinitely transcends all that can be imagined.  The accusations are usually related to astrology and are the result of ignorance about God's handiwork and the origins of astrology, itself.  Astrology was, of course, the ancient Babylonian practice of divining by the stars, and the belief in this comes about as a corruption of the knowledge that the stars and the constellations are a prophetic revelation written in the heavens.

In any case, we know that Corona Borealis represents the crown of the conquering king, the crown of the Lord, complete with its seven stars for the points of seven horns.

So, comet 45P makes its closest approach to the Earth at the same time that there is a penumbral lunar eclipse and what I found in addition to that is that the area across the Earth where the comet will be visible after sunset and before sunrise pretty much coincides with the area that the lunar eclipse will be visible (Africa, most of America, Eurasia but not Australia, New Zealand and nearby islands).  On top of it all, the following day the comet passes directly across the constellation, Corona Borealis.

Well, make of that what you will.  Although we have no biblical basis for the claim that a comet is a portent of a great event, other than it being an irregular celestial event, a sign as alluded to in Genesis chapter 1, comets are often associated with coming calamities, often some years later but, given the spate of comets in recent years, I would suspect that the warning is that the time is at hand.  That the comet makes its closest approach during a lunar penumbral eclipse suggests that some bloodshed is on the cards, possibly increased war (especially as relating to Israel) or, maybe, a sudden and significant escalation of natural calamities, and that the comet then crosses the constellation, Corona Borealis, suggests that the calamity is from the crown, that is, sent by God, in that the calamity points to the coming of the Lord.  All true bliblical prophecy points to the Lord.  These celestial events alone really do not amount to all that much but the recent series of lunar eclipses and solar eclipses, the obvious (to all but the most willfully blind) increase in natural disasters, the dramatic increase in earthquakes, volcanism, large meteorite impacts, close encounters with large asteroids, and so forth, all coming in waves as indicated in the Lord's own words, all these things taken together cannot be ignored and written off as "coincidence".  Personally, I do not believe in coincidence; I simply believe that we are incredibly ignorant.

We know that a great war and various terrifying natural cataclisms must occur prior to the public appearance of the two witnesses.  A pair of comets a while back suggested that the two witnesses were already present but just hidden from public view (the comets passed by within a day of each other and very close to the Earth but neither was quite visible to the naked eye).  So, is this the year of "men fainting for fear, and for expectation of the things which are coming on the world"? (Luke 21:25).  The secular and Hebrew calendar year numbers, 2017 and 5777, respectively, are certainly very suggestive, as is the view that we are up to the final Jubilee year before the return of Christ and we are almost up to the 70th year (average span of a generation) of Israel existing once again as a nation.  I have an expectation that the temple mount will soon be reclaimed, but it is only a suspicion.  Perhaps all that happens is that the temple is rebuilt but, whatever occurs, we know that it must exist again in order that the son of perdition reveal himself for what he really is, the great liar.

On a personal note, I was born on Israel Independence day in 1965, modern Israel's 17th birthday by the Hebrew calendar.  Because of numerous incredible events throughout my lifetime, I know that the Lord has a particlar plan for me that is, perhaps, a little different to most, although I cannot say what it is, and it may eventually seem to be something quite small and inconsequential but we must always remember in our walk with the Lord that we should NEVER despise the day of small things.  The Lord can wipe out an army with a breath of wind, set massive stars in the heavens, shake and crack the Earth with a word, and construct atom by atom, electron by electron, the most incredible and exquisite biological entities that, even on the simplest level, still defy our attempts to properly understand them.  What is to stop Him using even the least of us for great things?  We simply need to have faith in Him and walk with a humble and contrite heart before the Great and Eternal One, and let Him decide where, when and how to lift us up, if ever.  Remember, it is not about you or me, it is about Him.

Daniel 2:43 and the Seed of Men

Dan 2:35 ASV  Then was the iron, the clay, the brass, the silver, and the gold, broken in pieces together, and became like the chaff of the summer threshing-floors; and the wind carried them away, so that no place was found for them: and the stone that smote the image became a great mountain, and filled the whole earth.

On a side note and before we proceed further, the above verse gives us a seasonal reference, that is, it says that the pieces of the old empires will become as chaff on the summer threshing floors.  It could be argued that this is just descriptive but my experience is that God does nothing without intent and purpose and that everything is deeper than the surface reveals.  That this event is implied to occur during summer seems to suggest that the return of the Lord will be in the summer (harvest) or near post-summer season, and this would have to be for the northern hemisphere since that is where our main time reference, Jerusalem, is located.

We could argue that this harvest season is used as a metaphor for the harvest of souls, but I would argue that, being God’s plan and being that He times everything perfectly and that He always gives us warning signs and things to watch for, I suspect that it will, in fact, be just after Israel’s summer season when He returns.  This would imply August or September, and since the autumnal feasts are prophecies of events to be fulfilled (the vernal feast prophecies having been fulfilled during His first time on the earth), then a September return seems like a good match, likely shortly before the feast of trumpets which would be fitting for His return.  It is also fitting that it is the fig harvest that would occur in the August to September period.  Anybody with a knowledge and understanding of the Lord's parables will recognise the meaning of this and how it ties into the salvation of Israel.

Anyway, it was just a thought in passing, so now to the matter at hand.

Further reading of the book of Daniel, chapter 2, and careful consideration of what is actually said as opposed to what many perceive is said, reveals understandings about the following passage:

Dan 2:43-44 ASV  And whereas thou sawest the iron mixed with miry clay, they shall mingle themselves with the seed of men; but they shall not cleave one to another, even as iron doth not mingle with clay.  (44)  And in the days of those kings shall the God of heaven set up a kingdom which shall never be destroyed, nor shall the sovereignty thereof be left to another people; but it shall break in pieces and consume all these kingdoms, and it shall stand for ever.

Many have claimed that the section, “… they shall mingle themselves with the seed of men; but they shall not cleave...”, refers to humanity mingling with a resurgent nephilim race.  This is, I believe, completely incorrect.

What I understand this scripture is saying is that they (mankind of different nationalities, races and cultures) shall attempt to mingle together, and that this mingling would be by means of inter-racial and inter-cultural marriage, thus the reference to only the seed of men.  Stated in modern English we would, perhaps, write it as follows: “… they shall mingle by use of the seed of men but they shall not remain united...”.  Mingling with the seed of men simply means to mingle with the use of that seed and does not mean that something non-human is mingling with something human.  If it did, then it would be clear that there is not only the seed of men involved but also something else (which is nowhere indicated), and many have incorrectly assumed that this imaginary “something else” is the nephilim.

It now becomes clear and apparent as to what this verse refers.  This is a prophecy of the multiculturalism of the last days, that which has been occurring now for several decades, a phenomena which did not occur before, en-mass, as it has in our times.  It is really an attempt by the wicked elitists and the wicked left to blend all nationalities into one bland race in order to make it easier to bring about global government, since doing this would lead people to reject the racial, national, religious and cultural distinctions that currently exist and are believed, by the wicked would-be globalist dictators, to be the reasons that there are distinct groups that strongly bind together and resist external authority, but this attempt to blend all mankind into one race will, according to the scripture, ultimately fail and the distinctiveness of races, cultures and nations will persist.  This is God's doing, and its inception was at the tower of Babel.

We do, in fact, see the fulfilment of those words even at this very moment.  For example, the Islamic invasion of Europe has led to deep divisions occurring that have triggered (perhaps already pending) events like the so-called “Brexit”.  Other nations wish to follow the lead of Britain in separation from the EU.  Borders keep changing in parts of eastern Europe, nations seek to separate themselves from the control of the banksters, which is the reason that Muammar Gaddafi was murdered and that there is an attempt by the globalist puppet regimes, which we call the UN and the government of the US, to oust Syria’s leader, Bashar al-Assad, and why they have spoken so forcefully against Russia’s Vladimir Putin.  Not saying that Putin is warm and fuzzy, but he is being falsely accused of pro-active military actions which are actually responses to unjustified actions instigated by NATO forces.  Recall that, late last year, Putin told his nation to recall any children that are abroad and Russia had a military drill involving 40 million people, regarding actions to take in the case of a nuclear attack, a drill of a magnitude unprecedented in history.  He seriously fears what the USA and NATO forces and the UN are doing, because he knows that it is really about the banksters.

Gaddafi merely wanted to introduce a gold-backed currency for use by Libya and various other north African nations in order to gain financial independence from the international banksters, the greatest robber barons in the history of history, the false Jews of the synagogue of Satan.  Gaddafi was acting well within the sovereign rights of his government and nation but Rothschild and the Wall Street crooks and associated banksters could not tolerate Gadafi’s plan and, consequently, Gaddafi is now dead.  As was shown by the assassination of John F. Kennedy, the globalist crooks have no compunction about murdering any person they see as a threat that may merely only slow their plans.  Lovers of mamon are haters of the truth.

Bashar al-Assad does not want the international banksters to set up shop in Syria, so he must be overthrown.  On top of that, he does not want Saudi control of oil pipelines through his country.  We all know the connection between the Saudi family and the wicked in the US Fed.  Recall that Assad was an eye doctor working in London before being dragged into politics and having the responsibility of presidency thrust upon him due to the death of his brother who would, otherwise, have taken the reigns.  Bashar al-Assad hated politics and the military and wanted no involvement.  He wants to help people, not hurt them, factually supported by his choice of career and location, facts that are utterly incongruous with the claim that he used chemical weapons against his own people.  That is a lie promulgated by the wicked leftist media and its willing fools!  Of course, there are treasonous maggots within the Syrian ranks who would crush the weak with glee, but that is another issue altogether.  Assad is no saint but he is not a butcher as depicted by the globalists, the same worthless brood of vipers that told us of WMDs in Iraq.

Putin despises those demon-infested Wall Street and Fed crooks and will not submit to their control, but Russia is a powerful nation, make no mistake on that, so it is going to be much more difficult to overthrow Putin than any of the others.  Perhaps world war 3 is, in part, an attempt to achieve this wicked goal and in part an attempt to completely subdue all of humanity into a snivelling mass of cry-babies begging for globalist help.  Many (the immoral and cowardly left) will but many others will not!

China will also be a serious problem for the satanic criminals even though China is itself a contender for global financial dominance, perhaps making China an even more ferocious enemy than may otherwise be expected.  Make no mistake on that, also.

The hope of the wicked is to destroy those things that separate groups of people from other groups of people because such things, such as nationalism, religious ideologies and cultural distinctions, tend to cause groups of people who share these distinctions to bind together very strongly and firmly reject the dominance over them by other differing groups including those wicked, self-appointed global “authorities” (UN, international banksters, Club of Rome, CFR, Trilateral Commission, BIS, IMF, World Bank, etc) which are, invariably, attempting to usurp the self-governance of all people and impose their own religious and political ideologies upon them, the ultimate goal being to enslave all mankind to the evil one, whether they know it or not.

Dividing people by destroying distinctions seems like an oxymoron but the lack of distinctiveness between groups and the strong encouragement for individuality and self-expression, especially outside of God’s law (homosexuality, feminism, and so forth), causes division of people right down to the individual, and a divided people is a weak people.  Destroying groups is intended to destroy those things that bind people together, not specifically those things that separate them, and the encouragement by wicked authorities to engage in all manner of idolatry and perversity and to be as distinctive as possible from any other person on an individual level leads to total disregard for common bonds.  When people no longer have common goals and commonality in what they fight for, they fight each other and this destroys us all.   We become completely powerless against the wicked forces of the evil one and, ultimately, submit.  However, this is where true Christianity is different.  Christians share a common, non-materialist, non-earthly bond; faith in God and in the Lord Yeshua the Christ.  Thus there exists no nationalistic, racial, cultural, financial or political border which can isolate true Christians from each other.  The globalists hate this with unfathomable spite and bitterness, for it stands in the way of their evil plans, and this is what will lead to the greatest Christian persecution in history, the great tribulation.

Preventing this from ever being truly fulfilled is God’s way of ensuring that any attempt to establish another world government, as was attempted in the days of Nimrod, will not ultimately succeed, since such is Satan’s plan in order to establish himself as god over all mankind and force man, who was created in the image of God, to submit to him and worship him.  Despite the seeming success of the wicked in their attempts to supplant God in the hearts and minds of all mankind, the true, Ever Living God will not allow this to persist, for He has clearly said:

Isa 42:8 ASV  I am Jehovah, that is my name; and my glory will I not give to another, neither my praise unto graven images.

Satan attempts to destroy every form of human grouping that gives distinction between people, such as families, cultures, nationalities and so forth, but fear not for Satan was already defeated at the cross of Calvary, almost 2000 years ago.

It is noteworthy that this event of multiculturalism was prophesied to occur just prior to the return of Christ who will establish the kingdom of God on earth.  This is described in Daniel, chapter 2, as a stone cut out, not by (human) hands, that comes down and pulverises the statue’s feet of iron and clay (fascism and democracy, east and west, Islamic and nominally Christian, etc), and that the entire statue, which represents the empires throughout history, collapses and turns to rubble and, ultimately, dust, which a wind then blows away like chaff on the threshing floor during harvest.  The stone then becomes a great mountain that fills the entire earth, this being the only truly global empire that shall ever be, the empire of the kingdom of God.  All the remnants of past empires, all the evil things about them, are forever removed, the memory of them being swept away by the Spirit of God.  This is fulfilled when the angels come with the Lord and remove everything that is sin and everything and everyone that causes sin and all this refuse is bundled together to be burned, and only then will the elect shine in the kingdom of their father, as it is written.  The true sons of God will be revealed.

All past empires were established through evil means; crooked trade, unjust governance through oppression, wars, assassinations, political deception and so forth, and all were steeped in pagan belief systems and the consequent idolatry, human sacrifice, perversions and lusts, etc.  The present western empire and rising eastern empire are no different in this regard.  All this is worthless refuse and there is nothing about any of these empires, past or present, which is worth saving for the kingdom of God, so their remembrance and all their artefacts, whether idols, ruins, political and religious systems, monetary systems, etc, are to be destroyed and swept away forever.  Nothing shall remain.

One should note that since all of our (western) financial system is based entirely on a lie and is systematic systemic theft, then all that we have built using that financial system must be destroyed – houses, buildings, cars, factories, roads, ships, planes, trains, banks, trading systems, stock markets, communications and power networks, ad infinitum – you name it, all of it, nothing will be left.  It must be done to clear the slate, to start afresh without any remnant of the evil of the past that would otherwise corrupt the new and eternal kingdom.

All glory, honour, power, might, wisdom, understanding and truth be ascribed to the Ever Living Lord of Spirits, the God of Hosts, for ever and for ever and ever, amen!

As it were a Great Mountain...

Why do people think that this describes a massive meteorite, such as an asteroid, striking the earth?  In what, even remote, way do the words, "as it were a great mountain" describe a rock falling from the sky?  How does an asteroid coming from space look like a mountain?  Obviously, it is silly.  A mountain is upon the Earth, not in the sky!  If it looks something like a mountain, it must be on the surface of the Earth.  It looks something like a great mountain because it is a great mountain!  The only question, then, is why is it described, "as it were" a great mountain?  Consider; how many super-volcano eruptions do you think John was witness to in his lifetime?  As far as we know, not a single one, possibly not even an ordinary volcano.  So, if, in a vision, he sees something like a great mountain "burning with fire", then perhaps he is seeing a mountain all on fire, covered in rapidly flowing, glowing lava, numerous vents furiously exploding with eruption after eruption, and rock, glowing lava, ash and dust being hurled into the atmosphere, possibly miles into the sky.  Would he think it was just an ordinary mountain?  Obviously not.  Would he know that it was a mountain at all?  Difficult to say, but being that he was most likely unfamiliar with what he was witnessing, he had no choice but to describe it as he saw it, and not based on any knowlege of what he might have thought it was.

The mistake many people make is to assume that the word, "cast", means it came from the sky.  There is nothing in the scripture to even suggest this, and on top of it all, the very word translated from the ancient Greek as "cast" (Strong's number G906) was precisely the same word used in the ancient writ when the words of the Lord, Himself, were translated to give us the following verse:

Mat 21:21 KJVR  Jesus answered and said unto them, Verily I say unto you, If ye have faith, and doubt not, ye shall not only do this which is done to the fig tree, but also if ye shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; it shall be done.

Are we to assume, then, that the Lord meant that one with even a tiny seed of faith could make the mountain leap into outer space and then fall from the sky into the sea?  Perhaps one could but it does seem rather pointless, and it may seem silly to put it like that, but that is how I see it when people translate the verse from Revelation 8:8 into something about an asteroid.  The very verse that Yeshua spoke makes it clear what is meant, for the Lord never spoke frivolously about anything and all that He said was said with purpose, usually much more than we see on the surface, and I believe that He was aluding to a coming great catastrophe when He made the above mentioned statement.  He was giving us a clue.

Should we think, then, that this burning mountain that is cast into the sea will be the result of the activities of the two witnesses?  No, this is not likely to be the case, unless their power is received from God a sufficiently long time before their public testimony begins, so in that regard the actions of the two witnesses in this case cannot be ruled out, but there is nothing in scripture that I am aware of to support that view.  The fact that the scripture describes the two witnesses receiving power seemingly right before they begin their task (although the scripture does not precisly place the moment of the event) only suggests that they are not responsible for the burning mountain.  There are also numerous other natural catastrophes and a great war that come before the time of the two witnesses, so perhaps it is safe to rule out their involvement in this event, at least for now.  More than likely, it is the Lord Himself who, by His perfect faith, speaks the word and the mountain is, hence, cast into the sea.

So, how does it turn one third of the waters to blood, kill one third of ocean life and destroy one third of ships?

Simple enough, really.

The Pacific Ocean is one third of the seas.  It is also the most volcanically and seismically active region on Earth.  Now, imagine if you will, a Krakatoa-like event, where a large, volcanically active island has an erupting volcano, exploding violently, fiery glowing lava covering all its slopes, rapidly flowing into the surrounding areas and into the sea, vents blasting huge amounts of ash, lava and rock into the sky, quite a sight, indeed.  Then, an almighty explosion ruptures the entire mountain and causes it to fall away into the sea, much like the side of Mount St Helens fell away, but on a much grander scale.  The cause?  An enormous surge in subterranean pressure, perhaps also a massive earthquake, and a whole series of volcanos, both above and below the surface of the ocean, from north to south of the Pacific rim of fire, rupture in an unprecedented frenzy of explosions, like nothing else since the days of Noah.

Huge quantities of sulfurous compounds pour into the ocean brine, acidifying the waters and, due to increased density, sinking to the floor where the earth is rich in various forms of iron-containing ores.  The sulfuric acid breaks down these compounds and leaches much of the readily available iron into the water and, as it mixes, rising to shallower depths, its recombination with oxygen forms various red oxides of iron, turning the Pacific Ocean, one third of the seas, into blood, for it is iron and oxygen that makes our blood red.  The acid and the oxides kill all living things, one third of all ocean life, and upon the Pacific are one third of all ships, their iron hulls coroding away rapidly, the ships destroyed, contributing even more iron oxide to the horrifying red tide.  Perhaps there are also massive plumes of red algae which only add to the catastrophe, but such will not be needed should this situation actually occur, and perhaps the algae would not even survive.  In any case, the ocean turning red from iron oxides is much closer to being blood than merely the presence of algae.

This description, though told here like a story, is all too possible and, perhaps, will be all too real in the not too distant future.  Perhaps.
