It would seem that my post, "Observe the Numbers" (2020-03-29) was pretty much "on the money". Note the global COVID-19 fatality rate graph (daily deaths) on this page...

You will see it peak at around April 7th and roughly level off until around the 9th, then go into a rapid decline. Although the bars on the graph are a bit "bumpy", a smooth fitted curve would indeed show the peak around the 7th to the 8th.
Although I did say I would comment on this, right now I have little time to do so and will have to defer my post on this issue for another day.
